Treat Your Dentures With Care – Accidents may happen when caring for your dentures, which is why it is important to handle them with care anytime you remove them. The most common way that dentures break is when they are dropped. At our clinic, we can repair them. Please keep in mind though, not all dentures are repairable. If your dentures break, please call us for an assessment before deciding to purchase a new set.
Remove Your Dentures Before Going to Sleep – Whether you wear partial or complete dentures, it is important that you remove them before going to bed. By removing your dentures before bed, it gives your gums and tissue a chance to relax. Although, this is not recommended for all patients as leaving your dentures in could help prevent joint pain. If you do remove your dentures at night, you should place them in water or a denture solution. If placing your dentures in water, please ensure the water is room temperature as hot water can cause your dentures to warp.
